Scottish Child Payment

The proposal to increase the Scottish Child Payment from £10 per week to £20 per week (per child) was considered by the Scottish Parliament in February 2022. It is expected that the increase will go ahead from 1st April 2022. Over 100,000 children in Scotland currently receive the payment with the Scottish Government paying out £45m since the benefit was launched in February 2021.
