Tax Credits to Universal Credit

The DWP have announced that claimants of Tax Credits only will be contacted shortly to claim Universal Credit instead.

They estimate that over 500,000 tax credit only households will need to make a claim to Universal Credit to continue to receive financial support from the Government.

Tax Credits only claimants in the West of Scotland should be notified of this from August 2023 onwards.
